Because of their inability to keep up with changing demographics and market conditions? Because Saks said that the CC store was "underperforming" but also has closed stores all over the country. The forum was convinced that it closed because of some horrible error in Denver's ways, but I'm pretty sure all evidence points to the contrary. Do a quick check and see if there are stores in Dallas, Minneapolis, Phoenix or Seattle...
And so it goes with Ralph Lauren... their brand hasn't been high-end since the 1990s and their IPO; it's the same level of made-in-a-factory-in-China junk as any other mall store. Their closing has next to nothing to do with the state of Denver retail.
