I heard that they have broken ground on the new liquor store on Union Street. I'll try to get some pics over the weekend.

Was up to East Point today, looks like they ave finally broke ground on the Petsmart that will be going next to the new NB Liquor store. Should be open by Fall.

Pretty sure the direct dollars are being felt in the border communities but over the long term, the SJ retail market should also see some benefits.

Looks like good life out east will be moving to the old target location. Not sure on timing but apparently within a year.

More important than this, IMO, is NBers not going down to Bangor to shop. Their money needs to stay in the province to support local and regional businesses. That's the biggest benefit of the dollar being down as far as i'm concerned.

The old roof rails are down and the scafoling is up at the old Reversing Falls Restaurant. Part of new roof rails are now up. Can't wait to see this finished and especially that 'glass walkway'.

I will eat crow on this, as I was NOT a fan of this building in its current state, and because of this I was vocal of its doom last year. Well, hats off to Max Kotlowski who's vision of its potential is coming to life. Thank the Lord, that it will not be that awful green facade, but instead cedar siding

What a truly awful design. No regard for the sidewalk and pedestrian traffic. Just brutal. Putting an entrance right on the Union St corner would have made such a difference.

Personally I don't mind it but I understand our wonderful city had so many requirements and stipulations that it almost didn't happen. Saint John, developer friendly! Haha. Our planning department is out of control!
