Another thing that knocked this project off the rails was the lack of support from neighbouring properties to make the back lane private... The City had a hearing to close the back lane between all the building along Albert and the lot (I think everyone knows which lane I'm talking about) so they could sell it to Creswin as part of this project. This was to accommodate trash removal, and other private interests.
Well most (all) the property owners that have a stake in that lane were against it except Creswin.

Specifics of the problems are detailed on page 6 of this report... Some of the building owners were not going to give acceptance.
