If that's the case then it's fairly realistic... they aren't that far off from that number and it's not even April yet. Not even 10 sales a month will get them there.

SkyCity Twitter also says they'll be releasing info in about 60 days on that office, etc stuff. Hopefully this happens. Little but concerning on the delays from that side of things. Office, grocer, etc.

^They were, March had been a date they were saying. Now it's pushed back a couple months. Leading to my uneasiness. Still looking good for this going ahead though, based on the residential sales.

I can only suggest you proceed building such a project and see if you adhere to every vague date you give. This is really no big deal with such a massive development. Things happen behind the scenes that are out of one's control. Perhaps the grocer is the cause of the delay, etc. If the delay was a year, I would be nervous.

^Tis true. But they've been going at this for a few years now. Grocer announcements have been imminent for some time. But nothing get's announced.

A grocer would be OK but it is not really needed. Survived without the Bay for a long time now.

The important thing is this project is closer to becoming a reality.

On the grocery store. There are potentially a few thousand more people coming to the live in area in the next couple years, just with the Graham Ave developments. They're not all expected to shop at Family Foods forever, are they? I get all the economics behind why there is no major grocer downtown.

But if these guys want to put a grocery store in their development, that's fine. I'm just wondering what's going on, as they kept touting grocer, grocer, grocer. It's been pretty quite from Fortress since they condo sales launch. They missed the March target of releasing more info. So hey, wheres the damn info!

There's probably no info released because there is no info to release.

I get an error page:

It looks like you were posting from a mobile device. I took out the "m." portion but now just get a blank page.

They're just waiting for enough people to sign on to the condo. before announcing anything.

Say a grocer was eager to go in there, and there weren't enough buyers for suites and it'd be like Regina's proverbial Centre Pointe project...could be years before.

But this is not the case. the grocer will most llikely announce soon when shovels are firmly in the ground.

^ Chicken and the egg. Maybe they would get MORE condo sales if they released some info? I don't know, just thinking. I'm the type of person, 30 young professional, who would be an ideal candidate to purchase a condo. But I def wouldn't purchase something on wishes and prayers. I suspect many others are the same. I want to know exactly what I'm getting into, before committing to something.

"Hey come spend a few hundred grand with us. We'll have the world for you! Grocery store, fancy lounges!" Then the project gets scaled back and you end up with something you didn't want. Or wasted 5 years of your life waiting for something that didn't come about. I could go buy a place in the burbs, near existing amenities, and be done with it. This is my train of thought and why I'm wondering where all the details are.
