I disagree there is rationale here you are overlooking. Notice all the images related to the residences are quite accurate and those related to the hotel are not. What they are attempting to communicate in the hotel images is not the accurate view cause it's not all that important but rather where the hotel is located and they do that by putting a Chicago icon in the window.
