Thanks. Then I have no problem with the street level and it's good that such a large site will get more than one building.

I'm not sure about the COP/Ivan Allen corner. The master site plan just seems to show a future TBD building. It's probably a hotel site.
How does that mesh with the sales flyer for the property it mentioned a deed restriction requiring 15k sq ft. of Retail minimum; does that go all to the remaining portion of the lot?

Flyer where the deed restriction is mentioned; this flyer is recent since it mentions currently constructing project in the vicinity: http://joelandgranot.com/warehouse/fm/do...l%20Olympic%20Park%20Sales%20Package.pdf

This project on Howell Mill at 11th is moving forward. The building/arborist review for demolition of the existing buildings was approved.

Wasn't this project stalled/canned because of issues with zoning/PUD application?

This is a blog someone's trying to hypothesize but not an official WRS plan/scheme for the area.

Hey guys, when quoting a post full of images please snip the content if possible so there's less to load/scroll through. Thanks!

This project and the recently built "Leonard" will begin to create a nice little urban streetwall on that side.
TODs are officially a 10 minute (or 1/2 mile) walk from a transit station-- so this is clearly a transit oriented development. You don't have to be right on top of a train station to be a TOD.

Can't say I hate the idea though. The diagonal makes the capitol seem like a part of downtown and much closer to the activity instead of being on some far away island. Don't like the first massing models with the random small park space, but the one that fills in with buildings and makes it a new urban corridor seems to work ok. Eh, it's all hypothetical anyway.

A new permit was filed for 20 Townhomes "Heritage on Memorial" to be built at this property near the beltline: http://www.propertyshark.com/mason/Property/34043000/985-Memorial-Dr-SE-Atlanta-GA-30316/

And an SAP/SPI permit was filed for 5 more townhomes at the corner of Wilmer St NE and Dallas St NE next to the three modern townhomes already there adjacent to the Old Fourth Ward Park.

edit: also found an upload host that supports resizing so I fixed pictures in my other post

Other web pages i'm accustomed allow you to do something along the lines of "IMG= 300,300" or "IMG= 300x300", but within [] and no quotes. I haven't figured it out here yet. Sometimes it is disabled.

AMLI recently bought the 2.3-acre site for $10.5 million, according to Fulton County property records. AMLI has several apartment projects either in planning or already underway across Atlanta.
They bought the M3 site:

Hopefully they'll build a high-rise instead of a mid-rise which I think the GE vision rendering had there.

With the grade, would it be feasible to break the parcel into two buildings and extend 19th st. to 20th? I'm apathetic toward this parcel being a high rise or simply infill. I'd just rather not see a superblock development. I know this is development thread, but sure makes me wish MARTA's greenline was extended past Howell Mill and paralleled Deering Road along those railroad tracks. Would put two major nodes of residents next to transit.

A 10 million dollar land purchase makes it unlikely they will build a midrise on the site. The land cost per unit would not make sense in the Atlanta market. I'm fairly sure they will be building up. If they don't integrate parking into the Atlantic station deck and build it above grade it will probably be wrapped with stick built apartments but there will still be a highrise on that lot. you also have to consider the value add of the views and visability from here.
