Since people seemed to have appreciated it, here are some more pictures of Ottawa, this time from the Ottawa flikr.

FFX-ME, the better way to share photos from Flickr is to use this button from the image page:

There's an option for BBCode which you can just copy and paste into a post.

This method ensures that proper credit to the photographer and links back to the original image are provided.

That Vancouver pic is pretty amazing, especially since it doesn't even capture the whole skyline. Burnaby in the background adds real depth.

Okay, people are going to go nuts from this, but IMO this is Vancouver's "Tokyo" angle.

Now, I am not saying in any way that Vancouver is like Tokyo (there is no comparison) but, just from this one angle with Mt. Baker (a stratovolcano similar in size and form to Mt. Fuji) looming in the far background and the distant Metrotown skyline in the midground (creating a cool layered urban skyline peak system) with the Vancouver skyline in the foreground sitting next to the sea with shipping tankers at birth does give this one angle a Tokyo feel. Also the fact that from this angle the topography is relatively flat from downtown Vancouver until you reach Mt. Baker adds to the illusion.

Also, regarding Edmonton, I have actually always loved the Edmonton skyline, it has a really interesting collection of highrises downtown with some pretty good variations in colour.

Great Ottawa shots. Lots of angles I have never seen, few of those I would not have known they were Ottawa if you didnt tell me.

It's hard to believe that those co-op buildings are new. Will another phase of the Bassis du Havre be built in front of them?

Love that shot. Love the effect that Le Solano has on the skyline. Gives it an enhanced depth and bulk. At street level though, Le Solano is quite boring. Could have benefited by having at least a dep or a store.

Let us hope so. Those blank walls probably means there is another lot in front of it!
