Its narrowness adds quite a bit of charm IMO.
The new suspension bridge will be quite nice too. Though, a little lower than the old one.

From Griffintown. In the coming years, at least 8 new towers as high as 180m will be added to this cluster (not including YUL and HI). It's only a matter of time before the industrial lowrises in the foreground make way for condos. Downtown Montreal's westward shift, which started in the 1920's, ain't stopping.

Another view from Griffintown. In the background you can see L'Avenue (183m) reaching what I believe must be close to the 40th floor. You can also see the crane for the Arbora residential project, 3 x 8 floors. In the foreground, site prep for a 14 storey condo tower.

That's gotta be one of the best shots I've seen of Victoria!

KW might not have much of a skyline... yet. But it does have LRT under construction!

Jean Drapeau, as mayor, tried to shift it back east. Complexe Desjardins (most of which is blah) was the most obvious manifestation of his desire to move the business district easterly, away from the (then) Anglo-dominant area centered on Rene Levesque and Peel/McGill College. Also, the Big Owe way out in East-End Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

Victoria shots are very nice! It's funny how, to me, when you look at the downtown and port area it has a bit of a Euro feel to it, which is usually very rare for western cities...

I think the Emperess Hotel being so dominant helps with that feel.

Good question, maybe from the top of the mountains, and wind aided.
