$1,200/sf for that area? Yikes.

$1200psf to live in a bi-polar pile of window-wall? Ok...

$1,200 per sq. ft. for a condo? That is monopolistic pricing and people fell for it. That prices basically anyone out of the market unless they already had $1 million equity or cash sitting in the bank. I am glad that such illogical buying decisions from irrational buyers continue to fuel more hi-rises in Vancouver.

Will those houses be rebuilt and restored like the ones at Richards and Helmcken were for that development?

Not likely, at this point. They were offered for free to anyone who wanted to take them (literally). I doesn't look like anyone has stepped up to assume ownership of them and remove them from the site so I fully expect to be posting some demo pics in the next few days or weeks. The big old tree is probably a goner, too.

Oddly enough, both of those houses (one pictured, and the one on Richards) were once owned by the same person (who cashed in HUGE )

I did not know those houses came with BUTLER CONCIERGE, PRIVATE WINE CELLARS, STAR CHEF ON DEMAND & PERSONAL SHOPPING SALON. The rents must be on the high side No surprise there were no offers to move them, the land is too expensive around here & there are few available lots. Moving costs would have been quite high; perhaps ship them by barge to a nearby island? There was an old house in the West End that was moved to a lot near S.E. Marine Drive a few years back.

Yeah, it should be the developer selling the unit since it's listed by the sales director of the project from Magnum. It was listed after I received the email of sold out.
