I know it's the way the photo is taken. But when you think about it, Yonge and Eglinton is the same distance as Midtown Manhattan from the Battery in NYC.

Living in Vancouver would be so frustrating in winter. You can see the snow, but you don't have any.

Yeah never having to shovel a driveway brings me to tears on a regular basis. As for snow, I get enough skiing in the mountains on my days off.
