Thought it was Calgary too (which is the city we normally see in here that looks like that, flat with a CBD next to a river zone/green buffer then SFHs).

I suppose it's a compliment to Edmonton that it can pass off as Calgary...

Well I suppose it would be an insult if the suggestion is that Edmonton should want to be able to pass for Calgary, because that kind of positions Calgary as something superior for Edmonton to aspired to.

Isn't Calgary's skyline at least a bit beefier?

Not to mention the architecture of our buildings being significantly nicer on average. I love Edmonton as a city, so I'm sorry, but why would you start that? The differences in skyline are beyond comparison. Even in a historic boom for Edmonton, Calgary has 35 towers UC to Edmonton's 17.

For someone who knows by heart the exact number of towers in each height category, maybe it is so, but there are at least two of us in here who just mistook or almost mistook Edmonton for Calgary in those shots, so clearly they're not that much beyond comparison... (let alone for normal people who aren't on SSP!)

For once I'm gonna defend Chad on this one, Coldrsx's comment was quite snarky, deserved the spanking Chad gave him

Not sure if it's due to a short rope by the admins or due to maturity with age but I'm liking the new non-boosterish Chadillac!

A panorama from one of the balconies on the new Picasso condos in the Entertainment District, stunning views! Images by Marcus Mitanis, displayed in Urban Toronto:
