17-yard endzones will give a stadium a more"intimate" feel??!!! Hahaha, yeah, I guess you gotta do what you can to have 15,000 people feel more intimate at a football game.
Regina's new stadium will have 20-yard-deep endzones. It will also be FIFA-approved. Yup, Mosaic II won't be cheaping out like these other - hence - potential shitboxes. I now say "shitboxes" because the integrity of the game will be compromised if they start mess with the proper dimensions of the playing surface.
While we're at it, why don't we have other professional sports playing surfaces and dimensions of different sizes as well? basketball courts; tennis courts; badminton; soccer pitches; hockey rinks; race tracks. As I described above, if a receiver were to catch a ball 19-yards-deep in a standard endzone, that would be a touchdown; in a 17-yard-deep endzone, he'd be out-of-bounds. You guys see the problem here.
