It's all a matter of taste though, so how are they "better"? Although SF and Philly both have distinctive and "nice" skylines, there's nothing about them that makes them objectively better than Calgary's IMO. (Philadelphia mostly reminds me of Montreal but without the mountain). I don't see in any way now you demonstrated that they were better. You just posted pictures of them and asserted that they were better.
It's like saying "blue is one of the best colours" - "no offence, but I can think of AT LEAST three other colours that are better colours than blue!"
I agree that Calgary's skyline is one of the best in North America (not "The Best" or "Definitely in the top 10"). It's big enough to fill photos, it has a cool backdrop, and the architectural details/massing reflects a totally different era/aesthetic than most NA skylines.
I also would not laugh hysterically at a claim that Monteral has one of the best skylines in North America.
I guess for some, "one of the best" means "looks the most like Manhattan".
