[QUOTE=lio45;7224144]Within a few years Midtown (the part visible in that pic -- downtown isn't even it in, to the right) will in fact be noticeably taller... Right now 432 Park is pretty much alone, won't be like that for long.

I don't think that rendering is very accurate as to the buildings position's. It looks to be facing south towards downtown ( I can see the new world trade center at the very end, but the hudson yards buildings are in the wrong spot). Strange rendering.

Sure it does. There's the CN Tower, Yonge St., some of the bank towers, even the stadium.

The posted had to post something of Calgary to 'combat' the post of something from Edmonton, that's how he rolls.

That picture above is absolutely impressive and beautiful. Toronto's on its way to the club of the very legends...

I'll try to be that unbiased referee you need in that Toronto vs Montreal game and rivalry. Although I'm biased anyway, cause French is my mother tongue. But I don't care.

Toronto's looking more massive and much more powerful, just like English-speaking people are many more than the Fr-speaking.

But Montreal's still more stylish. The thing is it doesn't have anything like the CN tower to spoil its skyline. One of their towers, I forget the name, looks like a penis with a glans at the top to me. I swear. What's the name of that one?... Yeah, 1000 de La Gauchetière, their tallest at the moment! Lol, I even like that one of theirs, cause it's funny and actually not ugly at all. Nothing looks ugly in Montreal. It's just slowly developing as time goes by, inspiring balance, time and elegance.

As a Canadian, I guess you know it better than myself anyway.

/\ It doesn't have to be a city vs city thing all the time. Each city has its merits and its forces. Why can't we just leave it at that and enjoy each city on its own ?

Wow, I've heard of people seeing faces in everything, but never heard of people who see penises in everything. Quite unique!

Oh and no CN tower to ruin it. It's funny how Toronto, the Anglophone, would be the one to take after Paris.

Cher frère, be careful to not become a penis, yourself. Do not become a penis.

Yes, the CN bidule is a total mess, like that useless nest in Seattle. Is it a nest or a needle..? a needle, they call it.

Toronto seems bigger than Seattle now, somehow. I would tear down the needle or whatever it claims to be right away if I was in charge of Toronto.

Psst, do they need that thing nowadays? Look at the amount of regular and actual towers they've got now. They can arrange a bunch of more attractive observation decks today.

Over here, of course we keep the Eiffel tower as a structural pioneer and landmark, not so much as an observation tower. Although it keeps on attracting anyone, even local kids, but then it's the goddamn Eiffel built in the 1880s, right?

Do me a favor, demolish that CN tower... Will you?
No, you won't. Bah, it's your thing, not mine. I guess that is some of my sin indeed, disliking it.

I don't think anybody here has thin skin for any of his ramblings. It's just so childish and a pathetic derailment of a good thread.

"Cher frère, be careful to not become a penis, yourself. Do not become a penis." Come on really?
