In Ottawa the last few days, quite impressed and perplexed at the same time.

Scale, patios, history and people are fantastic.

Where people are post 9pm, unsure.

Huddled on backyard patios and getting to the bottom of bottles of wine.

Spoken from experience of course.

Or a Bottle of Rum with the better half/friends and a fire. (Gas fire) so we don't annoy the neighbors.

Dundee was trying to lease it out to the City as part of their RFP pitch. My guess is they will try to land some office leasing with absurdly low net rates and minimal improvements. We are not seeing another tower replacing that building for some time if you asked me.

^ did you take that picture from outside someones office/building? Is that proprietary work that someone might not want you to see? If not, then

Beautiful photo!

Do you live in Edmonton House or were you visiting someone? I stayed there several times when it was a hotel.

Also, I'm surprised to see Chateau Lacombe with the old facade. I thought they had finished the re-do by now.

Chateau Lacombe reclad has going at a snail's pace. I have my doubts if they'll be doing any more until next year.

The top two floors of the building are office space.

Chateau Lacombe has been replacing windows on the southside for the past couple weeks. Paneling will come after.

Saw it through the window on Sat. afternoon. If anyone wants a visual of how huge the impact of the new hotel and stanny towers will have on downtown, this will do it for you!

^Looks like Encore will be taller than CWB, which will put it at the top of the residential tower podium...until the ICE condos are built that is.
