This was discussed a few pages back, but yes, Chan's is closing because they have sold to Cara's. However, it is not precisely clear what will replace the current building. Speculation is that, because the current Swiss Chalet is in a traffic difficult area, they would move there. One could also wonder if another franchise from the same corporation would move there. Time will tell...

Edit : The other property was bought with the intention of doing whatever is now planned for the Chan's property. What will be done with it is a good question...

Yes, they put that up yesterday. If that's your photo, you may have also noticed that there is yet another strip mall about the same size as this one currently under construction right behind the Dollorama.

I noticed something being built behind it. I think Dieppe is getting whatever Moncton has... Build it, and hope they come...

There used to be a sign for Jack's Pizza and Donair coming soon at the far end of that building. I drove by today and it wasn't there anymore. Did they decide not to open a Jack's Pizza and Donair?

Don't think there not going to be opening But think they might be looking for a new location from what I've heard.

When I was close to the airport yesterday I saw that the construction of the New Dieppe Auto is moving on quite nicely and it will be nice for them to have room on their lot to park their cars.

It's going to be so weird going up Champlain St, and not seeing Dieppe Auto in there original location soon.

I went to the End of Dieppe Blvd, and seen what seem to be land stakes. Are they starting out the lengthening of Dieppe Blvd already? Or just marking out for a later date. Anyone know?

They might need the new space to park all the diesel Volkswagen's.

It seems there looking for a restaurant to open in the Dollorama building as well otherwise they would have written they had a 5000 Sq Ft Unit available in the same building as the Dollarama, and not added the "perfect location for a restaurant.." Pure speculation based on most advertising for commercial units.

The same post also says the space would be good for a hairdresser or retail store so I think they're just fishing.

Any idea what's being built beside Tim Horton's on Amirault? Cement is poured and you can tell it will have a drive thru. Very small. Would they put a Starbucks next to a Tim's?

I thought it was supposed to be further north on Acadie within the downtown area, too bad.

I was thinking the same. Someone had posted on Facebook that they believed Starbucks was going to be near the Greco Pizza.

Guess that Idea is scrapped

What's being done at the NW corner of Aviation and the Highway 15 ramps? looks like the lot is being cleared.

There is a sign there, facing NB-15. I noted it before, but didn't mention it. It was for a residential construction firm of some kind, possibly for modular housing. I forget the name. I'll likely be back out that way in the next couple of days. I'll look again.
