By "national integration" I was referring to social and cultural cohesion, building bridges and promoting platforms that allow Canadians to interact with each other and express themselves across this country.

Who needs a skyline when you have this. Dense, whimsical, historical... There's lots of urban ersatz but Montreal is the real deal.

Anyway, this one is awesome.

Awesome. Downtown Vancouver along with gastown is a great mix of old and new.

You may not know it but Toronto is not flat like Chicago and Dubai if we're talking geography wise those cities don't work as a comparison.

Toronto's got a fairly flat shoreline, and while it's not level the city's still mostly a plain. It's like a ramp. Plus you have to have a bit of wiggle room for comparisons. I mean Montreal's island is way bigger than Manhattan while Vancouver's downtown is really a somewhat hilly peninsula, so none of them are perfect, just gotta go with what's closer. No two cities have the exact same geography.

Hazy Downtown as seen from Dog Mountain (in North Vancouver). The mountains in the background are on Vancouver Island.
