How is the city running Blatchford if not through an arms length corporation?

Although, perhaps this groups banging their heads in frustration with the cities development process would educate the city on just how screwed up they are when it comes to development.

It would operate entirely on its own with its own executive and management structure. The City would essentially be 'hands-off'. Take a read on CMLC or Build Toronto to get a sense on how this would operate.

/\ SHO has an anti-public-anything IV hooked up to his arm all day at his desk. He mainlines it like it is going out of style, so I wouldn't expect anything else.

What's been out of place is the building heights in Edmonton have been reduced for decades thanks to a couple air strips

Stantec and the hotel will fit in beautifully.

Waitaminnit...BMO teardown? As in taking down that white 1980's stump of a building where there should've been a skyscraper in the first place a long time ago? I don't know if that would happen for at least a few decades, low oil prices notwithstanding, but that's something I've always dreamed about!

^If it was based on how fast CoE is going then not a chance at all. Why is CoE taking what seems like months for every floor of steel? Seriously. They've been doing steel for what seems like half a year and it's maybe five stories up?

^ Exaggerate much??? Six months ago the parkade floors were still being poured. The podium takes a while as it is bigger/different than the normal floors above it. Looks like they are on floors 8 or 9 right now with the elevator shaft growing at a rate of around 1 floor per week.

I read on C2E that BMO is being vacated, the bank is moving to KR. If a tower doesn't go up there, I'd be OK with simply turning it into a department store (Holt Renfrew, Nordstrom, HBC) c/w pedway to the mall.
