Had a neighbour like this in Lethbridge. No lack of space, and he had a driveway, and only part of my car was in "their space". My parents have a neighbour like that. Thinks she owns the street in front of her house. She is a massage therapist and has clients come over but they always park in her driveway. It's ridiculous.

These are common in many cities but definitely ugly... Oil refineries.

It's sad but I find that aesthetically interesting. Not that I'd want to live next to it though.

My language is appropriate for the utterly loathsome pos featured on this page. Any Canadian displaying a confederate flag is basically a racist, and absolutely deserving of scorn.

Oh didn't even see that. I think that's just a brand of T-shirt. Either way I feel that flag is still toxic, but I wouldn't equate him to being a racist for wearing it. The first thing I saw was Marilyn Monroe wearing a bandanna.

There's refineries directly east of the area I grew up in. Always kinda hated looking down my street and seeing them on their polluting grind every day. Luckily most of the crap blows into Sherwood Park.

Honestly they do provide somewhat of a neat view when past them. Much more so than driving past power centres and one storey commercial area boxes.

Yes very similar to Pizza the Hut. The other old restaurant style building that you can never seem to fully erase is an old Tim Horton's. I've posted an example in here before of one in NE Calgary that is now a memorial services business. There's other ones I've seen too. The giveaway is always the entrance and the brass doors.
