Toronto is the only city in this country that looks like a place that you can dive into and lose yourself in. From certain angles, anyway. Like this one.
Vancouver would look almost as large if the neighbourhoods outside the core were not separated by bodies of water. Imagine if north van was right there, and the dense neighbourhoods south of false creek were directly connected to the peninsula. You would have a downtown area that would match Toronto population wise. Not height wise though.

That's massive. But it also illustrates well that even despite the condo boom, the financial district towers still stand out. They may not be the tallest, but they are massive. Even Bay Adelaide stands out pretty well.

As long as they stick to the plan it will be tree lined Caltrane. Also the original renders also had boat dock jutting off the boardwalk. Those will probably come in later years as the area gets busy enough to house tour boats and/or possible yacht club.
