^ One of the most remarkable things about WEM is how little surface parking there is around it even though it's in the suburbs. I've seen neighbourhood malls in the US with more surface area devoted to parking than WEM.
Even when you factor in the parking decks it's still a relatively modest amount. Good for Edmonton for not plopping WEM into a massive 300 hectare site or some such.
