Wow, Aura is just looks awful. From far away (like Mississauga far) the tower does enhance the overall skyline but, any closer and its sheer dominance makes everything around it seem insignificant. The decorative lighting is just loud and obnoxious. No attempt was made to highlight the building's form or roof line. Tasteless but, I guess fitting for this garbage tall tower.

Toronto does have a very compact skyline and the bank towers are so much taller than everything else they make the rest look insignificant even if some of those buildings are decent. It needs smoother tapering to get the same sort of appearance of girth that Calgary or Vancouver have.

Some bulk at College Park, Yorkville and the Entertianment District/King West will solve this when more towers closer to 300 meters get built. The One/Yorkville/Gehry/KingWest/391-Yonge/College Park

I see it almost every day from Lévesque Blvd in Laval. Probably one of the best commie block skyline (well, I call those commie blocks) in the country.
At night, before everybody goes to bed, the lights make it appear almost like a small city centre.

It's funny that you mentioned that, because this is where you can appreciate the depth of Montreal's skyline..Through overheads..Same goes with Ottawa's DT density..Both cities underwhelming from certain angles, but great from on top.
