Correct. I will see if I can find a picture of the map.

It was posted here once. It also shows a northbound ramp off Assiniboine.

Regina Road Network Plan Map

It's a PDF. It shows the Southbound access onto Assiniboine as well as access to going North on the Ring Road.

You do know this plan has since been revised (and no longer in effect), right?
The new plan (2015) just indicates "Interchange Improvements" could be required in the future (for both Wascana Parkway and Assiniboine). There are no loops or any kind of suggestions regarding on/off ramps and/or new access points.

^It shouldn't be available through the city's website then.

The 2007 one was at least ratified. The 2015 one is still a draft it says it is a draft and yes, it just says Interchange Improvement.

For those looking for the picture it is on page 108.

Council meeting tonight. Discussion and voting on Tower Crossing Secondary Plan and Phase 1 Concept Plan (commercial corridor north of highway on east side), snow storage site fees and four new apartment buildings on Parliament in Harbour Landing.

I remember the 2007 one now that I see it. I was actually looking for the Assiniboine ramps when I was searching - I remembered them being in a version I'd seen.

I still find it odd that the loops have never been featured/contemplated in any Wascana Centre Master Plan - these documents go into a fair amount of depth & present various scenarios...and the City is actively involved in the drafting of each WCA Master Plan.

I assume the ramps are now City land (transferred from the Prov with those sections of the Ring Road), so perhaps they'll put more of a priority on these loops than the Prov did (timing's good - they're working on the 2016 WCA Master plan right now... today's the last day for online input from the public, BTW: wascana.ca/news/2016-master-plan-public-participation)

I wish SF was the councillor in our ward. With our councillor You'd never knew they had meetings at all if you followed their website alone, never mind replying to an email...ya right!

It was passed by council in June. It's pretty much a done deal.

Window decals going up on Malt City..

Hopefully they put in a patio of some sort next summer..

The street could also use some trees or planters..

I took a walk down 11th yesterday and the street is really starting to come alive. Not only with the additions of Malt City and Dr. Coffee, but Motion clothing has also opened up beside Norwood. Also I noticed a new nightclub near Motion clothing has opened, I believe it's called 'Rogue'. I think that will be the first actual nightclub downtown (not counting O'hans or the Badger). It's nice to see formerly vacant spaces being utilized, especially when they contribute to the nightlife of the area.

Also, does anyone else think signage on either end of Scarth street would be a good idea? Something akin to what Stephen ave in Calgary has. I think something like a nice black iron sign would do wonders to distinguish the street and give it an identity. Just a thought I had. I also think that would be a nice idea for the nightclub section of Dewdney once the Revitilization is complete. Maybe from Albert to Broad, and maybe also renaming that stretch to 'Wharehouse Ave' or something along those lines.

Appears to be Rouge.

It is my understanding that Rouge will primarily be competing with Q Nightclub and Lounge. Hopefully it brings some good night life to the area since places like Dr. Coffee are closed at night.

The city has been looking at doing some new downtown signage.

I believe they were formerly located on Broad Street, skater shop.

Things are going well at the Albert & Parliament Hotel site. Lots of activity, lots of framing nailers working, lots of new wood. Good to see it come back to life after a year of rotting away.

So it looks like Marriott will go from zero hotels earlier this year to 4 with the Hotel Sask becoming a Marriott today (although in looks like the renos are still in progress) the Delta coming under the Marriott umbrella, the new hotel next to the Pasqua Hospital still U/C and this one.

I have a suspicion that the decline in the price of oil is going push down construction costs, which may result in a lot of previously shelved projects getting the green light.

The hotel on Albert and Parliament seems like a good example of that, the project seems to have been under bid and the project stalled, now that prices are coming down this project is restarting.

I have a feeling something similar happened to capital point, they priced out the cost of their building, started selling units and once they actually got around to hiring contractors realized they sold the units at to low a price and could not afford it. Perhaps once the stadium is compete there will be a glut of construction workers in the market, prices will fall, and capital point will actually be built.

I wonder what other projects may go ahead if costs stay low for a year or two.

I heard yesterday that the owners of Malt City have purchased the RM of sherwood building on Cornwall, with intentions on opening another pub/restaurant. I don't know how much truth is to this but my source works for the RDBID.

I took a couple vendors out for supper last night and went to Famoso and sat on the patio. One guy was from Calgary, and the other from Toronto.

They both LOVED the atmosphere sitting on the patio and commented on how busy and vibrant is was down there.

And they were right. Downtown is really coming alive! We were there from about 4 until 7:30 and even at 7:30 there were still lots of people floating around, walking by, and Famoso was packed inside and out.

Pretty awesome makeover this city has seen.
