really one of the most offensive representations of ugly Canada...not quite up there with the Clock tower and Nickelback, but probably the worst featured so far from Alberta.

Found this googling EIFS systems. It's not in Canada thankfully (think it's Denver) but it is simply too heinous not to post here.

The part that confuses me most is the garage-like alcoves with spiral trees.

I missed the casino marathon yesterday, so here's a dandy late entry that I see minimum 50 times a year in person.

Well, if we're doing casinos, here's Casino NB in Moncton, New Brunswick, which has it's own particular style of garish ugliness.

It has a day-glow red steel roof and a faux lighthouse (despite being at least 35 km from the nearest salt water) all to assist in it's visibility to traffic on the adjacent TCH..........

That's the hotel. It's the most hideous part of the complex (although very posh inside). The middle part is the Molson Canadian Centre, which is a 2,000 seat performance centre (which actually does very well on the concert circuit). The far end is Casino NB itself.

I don't mind Casino NB and the Molson Canadian Centre. It's the hotel itself that I find repulsive. It could have been done soooo much better........

I'm afraid someone already beat you to posting that theme park casino from NB MonctonRad. Check page 128 and 129 for commentary. Tell me though, is there a sign anywhere inside it with this man on it?

It's funny because you'd think for a place with a mall that has a full pirate ship inside it and a fake Bourbon Street, that Edmonton could show up all the themed casinos we've seen on here. Instead all we get is something that could blend into any power centre. I'm disappointed in you Edmonchuck.

^ Casinos are rightfully ugly because it's an ugly industry, full of ugly activities and ugly people.

Not all casinos are ugly/tacky though...

Montreal's casino is pretty cool IMO.

I like Mont-Tremblant's casino as well.

It is themed: big-box suburban family restaurant themed! Right in the heart of downtown! It even had a big-box parking lot to go with it until recently:

(Source)

Gotta make the suburban-dwellers feel at home while they piss away their hard-earned dollars on crappy themed slot machines.

Thank god this ugly ugly ugliness' days are numbered, and the parking lots already gone.
