It's amazing how quickly that Niagara Falls skyline shot up. I went there for the first time in 1986 and the only highrises I recall were the 3 observation towers. I went back in 1998 and there were a bunch of tall hotels. By the looks of it, the skyline has gotten even bigger since then... it looks pretty good in my books.

Agreed, I think it has one of the most interesting silhouettes in the country thanks to it's retro observation towers. The skyline is impressive approaching from Buffalo and almost non visible coming from Toronto. This is probably a good thing as the back sides of most of those hotels are ass ugly so rarely seen by GTA day-trippers.

Hard to see but the skyline is there, almost completely hidden by the smoke blowing in from Washington State.

I heard on the air quality index of 1-10 (with 10 being the worst) last night was 19.

I think that speaks more to the scale being out of wack than the air quality; if it can go up to 19, then 10 is clearly not "the worst"

All that new housing at the bottom left is now probably tripled in size.

FYI the new housing area is actually the highest peak from the Escarpment. That's why everything else around looks itty bitty small.

Geez people, of course it's technically a skyline, I was just kidding because I find it to be a very ugly tacky skyline.

Sometimes I think every single post someone makes on this forum with even a modicum of humour needs a disclaimer at the bottom clearly stating your intentions, personal love for the area under discussion and your understanding of the minutia of what makes that places special.

Awesome pic Surreal! Almost makes Calgary look tropical with the pink light and red sun.

This morning I thought there would be rain it was so grey. It was actually still just smoke. The sun was up but barely visible. Still red.
