That actually looks interesting for some reason. It could be ugly but could be interesting if it holds up.

I also like the defense of it simply because it's mixed use. Or that Inglewood hasn't had anything like this built recently (untrue since Atlantic Ave Arts Block was completed a couple years ago). Bottom line is this thing looks only a smidge better than if they had simply left it as bare plywood.

I enjoyed this faux historic office building on my drive through Mississauga yesterday.

Comical. Makes me smile. South side of the street would be a different story well, maybe not. It's Ford Nation of Toronto.

That picture hides the fact that there are about 5 commie blocks right there--3 are hidden by angles.

It's part of the Transitway Commie Block Alley. From there you can see more commie blocks in the distance (off to the right in the post-reno photo) that's the towers for the next Transitway station.

There should be a section in the new Memorial to the Victims of Communism devoted to those living in these towers.

Do a 360 in streetview and look at the context. The fact they are trying to disguise an office building in industrial Mississauga as some super high density European block development is absurdly hilarious. Might as well try erecting a prairie grain elevator in Downtown Manhattan while you're at it. Same jarring result.

I think the Conservatives would like credit though. Maybe a giant picture of Stephen Harper's face on the broad side would help. Hmm.... Getting photoshop ideas.

I think that this is the ugliest residential building (that I know of) in Montreal.

https://www.google.ca/maps/@45.5401822,-...P82NLOpxejEwt4314F4oQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Sliding doors but no balcony....... They were thoughtful enough to put in railings though. No comment on the entrance.

It's on a particularly desolate stretch of Papineau.

I actually prefer the 'pre' photo. Commie blocks should have some grit.... and you can sorta imagine this building in Rio a couple of blocks from Copacobana beach. Cant do that with the 'post' version.
