I'm just sad to think that one of these times when I head over there to have a look at what's going on I will see a couple of piles of broken wood where the houses used to be and the big old tree will be a stump. If those walls could talk and tell a hundred years worth of stories.

Is there a possibility they could "build around" the tree? It's been done in other places ..... I think. The building owners would get The Green City Badge of Honor for doing that.
