The lobby still needs some significant touch ups as it is 90% complete.

I like how Glowbal kept the same marble Saarinen table top design on the dining and cocktail tables as shown in the office Lobby.

The patio birdcage design framing the patio looked impressive but diners may have to be cautious not to lean their heads back too far as they may have their heads stuck between the bars!

Sorry, I am by no means an expert on this sort of thing so I don't know if I can help you. I figured out how to do my images on ImageShack years ago and stuck with that. Maybe there is someone else here who is familiar with Imgur and can help.

Again, the inside images are great to see as I know I wouldn't have been able to get pics like that and I'm not sure who in our local SSP community could have gotten the VIP room pics.

One thing that struck me as I was looking at those pics again was how much maintenance there is going to be for all those features. Water, plants, animals, gas fireplaces and lighting features galore.

Lol, i didnt expect such access either but after sending over a $275 bottle of wine to the owner's table to celebrate his opening, we were granted a full tour of the new facilities so I thought to take a few pics to share here

I agree on the high maintenance costs. With all the glass in the lobby, I expect it would require allot of AC to keep it cool in the summer as it would be a hot solarium. Lobby Security during the weekday state is gets quite toasty even when AC is full on (rather than after hours and weekends when it is reduced operation when we visited). Law firm Tenant on the office floor complained that it is very cold

The lobby trees are at full height to the canopy already which create an enclosed area as the canopy swoops down so that will need very regular pruning and monitored watering to keep it in check.

Also with the water features, there is glass edging around the water features which I would expect is a slipping/tripping hazard especially in the lobby with glass floor (see floating seating area) - imagine those wearing heels on the glass surface that may be wet from the pond. Some features appear to prioritize design form over function in keeping to the Green theme

I will try to post some more shots if I can figure out resizing. Thanks

With Imgur, when you upload photos they are in the native resolution of camera, which these days can be massive. You can go through and select each photo -> edit and change the size, clicking apply -> save. Clicking Save is key, otherwise all of the resizing is lost when you leave the page, even if you have clicked 'apply'. You can also choose to resize the photos en masse when you upload them to Imgur using the 'auto resize' option on the top right side of the screen.

That's why large scale construction projects are always great as a larger number of tenants/owners share the costs of building or maintaining such common facilities. Small "human scale" structures often fail to have such features. Also, as long as there are subscribers to Telus services, they would also have the funds to maintain these extra building "perks".

I tried adjusting the size but ImGur got bogged down with too much traffic so editing each pic took forever. some turned out thumbnail here so I think I will try another pic hosting site that may be less buggy. What site do you suggest works well w SSP?

Flickr is the "pro photographer's" choice, but works pretty well in general for this site. Side bonus of being Vancouver made (by my dad heh).

I use Imugr, but agree that its servers are sometimes overloaded. I used to use ImageShack, but stopped several years ago when I found that I preferred Imgur.

The door on Seymour is not an entrance - guess that's why there's no signage on it.

Needs more than touch-ups; needs to be gutted, just like the rest of the building.

Why on earth is there a grand piano in the lobby of a technology headquarters building?

Yet another example of how this entire structure is tacky beyond belief. Thank goodness at least it's located at the further end of downtown, so it's not the first thing that visitors see when they come here.

As I understand, Currently there are 2 Glowbal owned establishments: Nosh which is actually in the Main Office tower lobby which features baked goods, tapas, drinks is more casual dining with bistro type seating and Glowbal which is more refined food dining with emphasis on service. There will be another 24 seat cocktail or wine bar once the pedestrian walkway is established that may be called "Alley Bar". Rumour is that higher end retailers may occupy some alleyway space but I don't see signs of any yet nor where they may sit

The Glowbal group secured all the licensed dining establishment leases at this development which was supposed to be 3 in total
