There are at least a couple of high ceilinged floors near the top (2nd and 3rd from the top according to the model in Built Form's pic) that are now under construction.
Although the design sort of "barks" at me, I must admit that it's a real counterpoint to the rounder forms in front of it, as seen in the above photos. Thanks, mcminsen
The ribs of the arch/awning were lit up last night with white neon.
Looks like Glowbal will be opening soon.
They had the protruding box outlines lit up again last night, too. At least the one I see on the south side of the office tower. In my most recent pic of the wooden arches you can still see streaks of black grime on the wood (see pic below). I look forward to seeing a good cleaning done but I wonder if the glass on the arches has to wait for cleaning until Vancouver's water reservoirs are topped up again.
Grand opening for Glowbal is two weeks away (Wednesday, Aug.19th) but they'll probably have a soft opening before then. It's great to watch it all finally come together.
Anyone who has worked with exterior wood beams knows you can't put greased bolts in and leave them exposed to the rain. The bleeding of the grease can't just be sanded off if it saturates the wood. I was appalled when I saw this during the installation phase.
I noticed some new framework today near the top of the podium on the Richards Street side. I wonder if the top floor there will also get the zigzag window treatment.
***edit***
A couple posts down you will see that Liberator has posted some really great interior shots of Glowbal. They were a bit oversized so I resized them. Just keep scrolling down to my next post.

It seems to be current, with three floors of office and only the ground floor for retail. But it's missing the wood panels, which were supposed to bring a cohesiveness to the entire development.
My pics Sunday night: Glowbal opened Sunday Aug 9th at approx 4 pm unannounced. Seating Capacity is approx over 500.
Official Grand Opening is Aug 19th with expected turnout of approx 4000 people. (Again sorry for sizing)
The fireplace is double insulated on the inside so the heat is dispersed towards the outside to shield diners inside from excessive heat. I find sitting by the gas fireplaces at Glowbal's The Roof on Alberni too hot for my comfort even in fall rainy nights.
All windows facing Georgia St open up on ground floor as well as the second floor
Private Room
Gold Room Upstairs
My favorite VIP private room.... can't pinpoint why:
