I didn't even notice that at the time, but yeah that pic is a bit out of date. There are a at least 7 new buildings that would be in that shot. Also noticed that most of the west end of downtown is missing too. I'd love to see this same shot today, and also from a bit further up.

I think it's part of the design. Somekind of architectural spire for the building. It's also in the renderings if you look closely.

Yeah that's weird that they still have the crane up, the building looks at least partially occupied.
