Do they have their DP yet? Any indication of them moving forward? I thought they were trying to sell the site.

Tim spilled the beans to employees during the pre-Kday's staff event.
The overall master plan total cost is about $400M. Rexall stays as hockey training centre, pedways will connect Rexall, Expo and the Racetrack grandstand (which still may be flipped), Hall E will be converted to a 5000-seat concert venue, 1-2 hotels are planned (1 budget Holiday-Inn type, 1 upscale conference hotel), racetrack infield will be converted to outdoor concert venue for up to 90,000 so that big name acts (U2, Rolling Stones, etc) that currently use Commonwealth can be accommodated. The racetrack license is up in 2016, but the company is trying to get that extended.
Trying to seek a 3-festival/year deal with LiveNation. Also talk about building a soccer-only stadium somewhere on the grounds as well… Some preliminary deals were signed about that apparently...
The Rush don't seem to be much of a factor in the plans, which is a shame, but I get it. Calgary is also trying to snag CFR away from Rogers Place, so that will be announced within the next few months as well…

Looking at their financials, this seems like it is at a reasonable scale. Without the slots revenue associated with hosting the race track, or a replacement casino, things look touch and go. Also, parking revenue from Rexall events from the lots south of 118th I believe.
Will be interesting what they think the yearly operating costs for Rexall Place are once the team is gone.
