However, from what I recall reading from previous posts, I am unfortunate to say that the "twin 80 story and twin 60 story towers, 4 tower complex just south of Dallas City Hall" might simply be a pipe dream. As far as I know nothing has been done and there is nothing that says it will actually happen. I'm afraid that isn't going to be. Unless you have other sources that claims otherwise?
On the bright side we still have the Perot Tower that will be going up. I am hopeful that all the empty parking lots that isolate Fountain Place and this soon to be tower, that I am really crossing my fingers will reach over 1000 feet, will also be future sites of towering skyscrapers. And hopefully the tall towers will reach into the Cedars and possibly expand the skyline south to the Trinity.

The Turkish developer behind the twin 80 story and twin 60 story tower proposal is actually making good on his promise of renovating two derelict office buildings in Downtown Dallas. He has transformed one that sat empty for a decade into a thriving technology startup center and the other derelict building is on its way to becoming a residential and hotel complex as work is already underway to transform it.
He may or may not be able to fulfill his plan for the four tower complex but even if he only builds one or two of the four towers it will still make a DRAMATIC addition to the Dallas skyline. We'll have to see on those but he is making good on the other two projects that were pooh-poohed by many that he wouldn't be able to pull off and he has done so.
When said and done the Perot Tower will probably become not only the new tallest in Texas but will be the tallest outside of Chicago and New York City as well. That is my prediction. That very same building site was proposed and approved for a 100 story tower back in the late 1980's building boom and now Perot owns it.
