Personally, it is not down to symmetry and rows matching up but the presence of a thoughtful, flowing design.

As someone who has been going to football matches since well before TFC was even an idea, I know what makes a football ground work well for supporters. While BMO does deserve points for keeping spectators close to the action, it is going to lose points for its stands having a very temporary feel. Setting aside the aesthetics and grandeur, when I attended a match at BMO the ground lacked that feeling of permanence and that does affect football supporters.
When people say that BMO will be one of the better MLS grounds, aesthetics do have to re-enter the discussion as it is a criteria against which the best of the best are judged no?
