Yes it will be by quite a bit.

On the picture posted above, grade would be the cement walk way just below the rider logo. Essentially you'll walk into the stadium half way up the stands and head down or up. Will make moving people in and out about a million times easier than it happened in the old stadium.

Until you have to get in and out of the parking lot... actually, there probably won't be any significant difference in wait times in getting out after a game.

I'm referring specifically to getting out of the stadium proper, not out of the surrounding area as that will depend more on each person and where they are going and how they are getting there.

As far as getting out of the stadium if it's not a lot faster I'd be really surprised, again not for everyone but for those of us that sit fairly high up on the east side there isn't a lot of options for leaving once the game is over. I can't decide if it's this or the fact that I can actually see people at half time or before the game that sit on the other side that I'm the most excited for.

Does anyone know what construction is expected to begin at the intersection of Regina Ave and Lewvan? I think that intersection should have a dedicated left turn light that is red while north/south traffic are on green. Hopefully they are looking at either adding a second left turn lane or at least extending the length of the turn lanes.

Anyone know what happened to the supposed construction at the corner of 13th avenue and Retallack Street? There used to be a sign up on post about a proposed site and I thought the business there (Nouvelle I believe) even closed down.

Seems strange to me that the height of new Mosaic would not be known. Should be noted in the specifications/blueprint for the building. Maybe its not been disclosed.

Because it is an ongoing design-build, they have published very little detail. Even the depth below grade is a bit of a mystery. I have seen the numbers 25 ft., 30 ft. and 11 metres thrown about. I think it is 30 feet. Using that and the published cross section view, I get about 130 feet to the top of the roof - 160 feet from the field

The development at 13th & Retallack St. is going through a re-design. Not quite sure what that means exactly. There was some mention of how costly underground parking is. I would think this location would definitely need underground parking!

A number of years ago, I read that the height of the west stands - at its highest point - was 180 feet, 6 inches high.

Great Picture! The size comparison of Mosaic Compared to Mosaic 2 is quite substantial. Going to be a great Facility!

Hmm. That is about the height of the Hotel Sask. I guess the new stadium will be much more stout from the outside, but still more grand and imposing than Taylor Field.

From looking at the diagrams page, the existing Mosaic Stadium is about 108ft tall. Not 180ft tall.

Out of curiosity, no one is up for drawing the new stadium for the diagrams page?

I wouldn't always look at the diagrams as gospel; however, it could be 108' high as well. It is tough to eyeball that facility. But, we DO know that both sides of the stadium is 330' long. We'll be checking the proportions, hey? Lol!

Would someone here have access to that type of info?

The stands are pretty much the entire 110m, so about 360 feet long. Trying to find a non-distorted photo of the stands to compare height to width, but that's hard to find. The best one was from Rod Pedersen's blog. Which looks almost 5 to 2 ratio wise. So, 144 feet. or about 44m. Someone needs to fix the existing diagram, although I wouldn't put much money on my estimate.

I've often thought it would be fun to go out with some real survey equipment and measure the heights of the buildings in Regina accurately.

How about at rogue drone quadricopter with a GPS flying around on an early Sunday morning landing on roof tops. Sounds like way more fun.

Not entirely related to construction, but my boss' friend who works for the water plant told him today to stock up on bottled water asap as the water shortage is a lot worse than the city is letting on.

I would suspect that is true considering that the city today is asking all residents and businesses to reduce consumption/use by 25% immediately, and the city and park are no longer watering grass/trees, filling pools, or opening spray parks. The park is still watering new grass and trees but is using lake water.

Has anyone heard something similar? I would expect mandatory rationing is the next step if the treatment problems persist. They also just opened 8 new wells today to help supply more water, and the new water may be discoloured but is safe to drink.
