Ottawa yesterday. This was around noon.

What a difference from today.. cold, windy and not a hint of mugginess.

The only time I see so many people insist on that fallacy is on these forums, by people who have never been there, lol.

The construction boom at Yonge and Bloor is serving as a connector between downtown, and Yonge/Eglinton/St.Clair and that is going to be one long skyline, possibly one continuous downtown from the lake all the way to Eglinton.

Wow Toronto still has way too much grey/beige concrete!

I know, and everyone on this forum complains about blue/green glass. It's not like that at all. That's just the new developments. There is way more grey/brown concrete in this city than anything else. You can walk forever downtown and not even see one single blue/green condo.

In my opinion, blue/green glass is a lot nicer than grey/brown concrete.

Indeed. The only places in the city where there is an overabundance of blue glass is in CityPlace and Southcore. It just seems like that style dominates the city because those two neighbourhoods happen to be the most visible from the lake, which is where most shots of the skyline are taken from.

Nice shot of Montreal there. The city looks much better when all the foliage is green.

It's taken from the middle of Hamilton Harbour. The foreground is West Harbour, Bayfront Park all the way to Pier 8.

You can see the Escarpment and the rest is Hamilton Mountain.

Exactly the same case in Vancouver with people generalizing Vancouver as a city of glass based on photos of Yaletown and Coal Harbour that people often see.
