Interesting cgy shot from the Bow, the city has much more midrise density than can be seen from the typical skyline shots. A lot more midrises to the west of that pic.

Mtl's huge! I love the built form there. Might need to go back this summer. Maybe a TO/Mtl trip.

That's not good bones. That's more what I'd call a hulking mass of meat!

I thought DC and Toronto were quite well known for their high-rise suburbs...

(I guess you must have missed the legendarily stupid "strange non-urbanity of NYC Suburbs" thread in City Discussions )

I wasn't talking about TO, which obviously has Mississauga. Didn't know about DC. Is it in Arlington? Because I don't consider Baltimore as a suburb.

Some NYC suburbs have plenty of urbanity, especially in Jersey. Just look at Newark, Elizabeth, Jersey City...

Detroit and Boston each both have at least one suburb with dozens of highrises. Washington has a good 6 suburbs each with dozens of high rises, while Toronto has 7 (not including the dozen or so highrise nodes in the city itself)

Here's what Chad considers a suburban skyline. Grain of salt required.

Omg if those are suburban skylines then Halifax must have dozens.
