I am quite confused at the proposed location of the Grand Gulf project. Are they going to tear down those pre existing apartments at that location for this project? I'm assuming Riverfront pointe won't be touched but its just strange to me that they want to destroy apartments that aren't super old while there's still the large plot K that's available and there's no need for demolition since its just a parking lot there. We need as many residents and empty plots filled. Not bulldoze pre existing apartments.

Or are they going to build right behind those apartments, where that parking lot is..... Then that makes this project smaller than I expected.

From the render, it looks like the two towers will be side-by-side, and don't show them in relation to Riverfront. I wonder if and how they are working with the whole 'L' shape of the parking lot.

That was the location I was thinking it was going. But I am liking the architecture so it would be great anywhere in the vicinity.

Speaking of that area, wasn't able to find much info on GWL's Eau-Claire project, but I did find this - mixed-use on the former CBE site.

In Calgary specifically, GWLRA currently has under construction Glenmore Gardens III (17 storey, 132 unit apartment building) and is actively marketing for lease First Canadian Centre, East Tower (28-storey downtown Class ‘AAA’ office tower comprising 734,000 square feet designed to a LEED® Gold standard). The Company also has many exciting projects in the pipeline including two mixed-use development sites in downtown Calgary (Eau Claire and the former Calgary Board of Education site) and a mixed-use, two-tower site in the Beltline (former Alberta Boot site).
