^Van looks good from every angle, every time lol.

Cool aerial Prat. Any way you can take one facing NE showing South Cgy/Bankview with the skyline as the backdrop. Never seen aerials of those neighbourhoods.

One of the most evocative photos of Hamilton I've ever seen, thanks for that.

I've probably mentioned this on this forum before, but it's always weird to see how insignificant the escarpment looks in photos of Hamilton from the air. It is such a looming physical and psychological presence wherever you are when you're downtown, and it cuts the city into two halves so very decisively, but in pictures like this it's barely noticeable.

I was thinking the exact same thing when looking at that photo. Can barely tell a difference in elevation. Another thing that caught my eye, look how big the armory on james street looks. It almost looks as big as copps. Pretty impressive for a building built in 1908.

Also id put that photo at about 4 to 5 years old(maybe summer 2010 or 2011) You can still see that the RHEEM building is still standing dead centre of the photo. It was demolished between the end of 2011/ early 2012.

Definitely a flattering view of Hamilton. It looks great from that vantage point. I echo rousseau's comment about how weird it is that the Escarpment just seems to disappear from that angle... it's bizarre, as though it were photoshopped right out of the picture.

Those are some heavy duty Toronto pictures. Seattle should find out what kind of gear Toronto's running if it wants to compete.

It's also pretty impressive from on the escarpment.

Those people in that wood condo building to the west of the arena are probably going to hate it there when the arena opens.

Hopefully that's true and they decide to sell to a nice developer.
