APEGA is not a engineering firm, they are the association that represents and regulates engineers in Alberta.

Ah. Anyone know how large they are on a square foot basis?

EDMONTON - Symphony Tower, a new luxury 27-storey highrise, plans to hit all the right notes when it comes to downtown living.

Located on the corner of 106 Street and 97 Avenue, the Symphony offers sophistication, panoramic views, and unique architectural details. The project breaks ground soon and is expected to be a 27-month build. Over 65 per cent of the 143 suites have been sold, including a $3.5 million penthouse.

“We had 27 sales in the last eight weeks alone,”
says Sharon Thomas, luxury condo specialist and sales management for the project. “I think that shows that Edmontonians are ready for something different.”

Impressive. Liked this as well.

Outside, the terraced grounds will incorporate a courtyard, red brick planters, and a sculpture fountain that not only serves as a piece of art but is also part of the building’s cooling system.

Surprised with Symphony. Anyone know if they adjust their prices during the sales process? I remember them being pretty uncompetitive at launch when I was given a price list by the sales centre.

All the major sites were humming yesterday. Pours at Kelly-Ramsey, first level of the office floorplate. Ultima had a pumper and they were running the hose into the lobby!? Even Gene Dub's skinny building was pouring.

Noticed a rather large excavation on the Aurora Lands, about a block north of the new arena. Anyone know what's up there?

I believe the City is upgrading the sanitary line in that area. Not sure, but I seem to recall some major u/g work required to support the arena dev't.

Gulf Canada Square in Calgary used to have that feature but ripped it out many years ago. Hopefully that won't apply in this case.

Don't know the square feet, but they occupy floors 13,14,15 and 16 in Scotia 2.

Thursday April 23 from 7-8pm at DECL, 10042-103 Street

The Downtown Edmonton Community League will be hosting a meeting to update downtown residents on the proposed development on the former Healy Ford site on 106 Street. We will hear from the applicant and have an opportunity for Q&A and to provide feedback.

This is the second opportunity for DECL members to meet with the applicant. An updated proposal will be available based on feedback provided to the applicant from Seventh Street Lofts, area residents, DECL, and the City of Edmonton Sustainable Planning and Transportation Departments.

Must be a Downtown resident and DECL member to attend. Residents without current memberships can purchase them at the door for $5.

A large Mobile crane is being set up at the Museum site. I wonder if they are going to remove one of the cranes.
