Last update from my visit to Brentwood on Sunday.

Sales center

Parkade tunnel

Tunnel entrance from Lougheed Highway.

Best open view I could find. It is a bit difficult to take a photo without the fence with a DSLR.

I was expecting the pit to be deeper.

Nice shots, thanks.
The north facing ones up Willingdon show the site nicely.

For anybody worried about the circular fountain possibly being deleted from the plans you can clearly make it out in the display model:

Application for Tower III:

The adopted
Brentwood Site Conceptual Master Plan identifies the subject site (Tower 3) for a
residential apartment building of up to 55 storeys in height, insofar that it is nominally
and dimensionally lower than the buildings within Phase I. The podium area fronting
Lougheed Highway to the south. Alpha Avenue to the west and the High Street to the north is intended to be primarily commercial with fronting residential lobbies and
residential amenity areas within select locations.

It is noted that the subject site is located within the Southeast Quadrant (Phase III) of the
Brentwood Site Conceptual Master Plan, which encompasses a significant area within the
eastern portion of the site bound by Alpha Avenue, Beta Avenue, Lougheed Highway
and the north lane.

55 stories on a podium can't be much lower than tower one and two?

Either way, I didn't think they would be making the application already.

I was at Brentwood last weekend (via Skytrain). They have certainly crippled mall access from transit. It's going to be a loooong time before that improves.

Thanks, Dave. Just curious, where do you get this open view from? I was looking for something similar when I was in the area, but couldn't find a balcony like this.

By which I mean to say, thanks for all the pictures. Dave and Klazu both. I was up there a few months ago and it's nice to see how things have progressed since then.

There's now a development permit application for Phase III. It's the one that is right by Lougheed just to the east of the new Alpha Street entrance they are building. It says in the report that it is 'up to 55 stories' but also says the intention is for it to be shorter than the first two buildings, so I guess not the full 55 stories. It also says that Phase II ( the one just north of Halifax along Willingdon) is delayed while they work out with the city how to integrate a community centre into it. Apparently, despite that delay, the intention is for both to built simultaneously.

Edit: Oh, and there is a development permit for a brew pub to go in the central 'civic plaza' as well.

A brew pub... That is interesting, definitely something that is missing with Metrotown right now. Do you have any link to your source?
