They'll be complimentary without being too similar. Telus Sky is going to be black instead of white in the latest version, and going from a square at grade to twisted in both axes at the top instead of going to a triangle. I can't wait to see both!!

Of course Calgary's Telus Sky will be 235 feet taller! They must laugh at us
And they've even won the Stanley Cup
and here I was in such a good mood this morning.......

So? Let 'em laugh. We've got a lot of stuff they don't. And no I don't just mean the ocean and the mountains.

The "whale mural building" has been town down now. Also the last piece of wall that was still visible in my photos is now a pile of rubble.

Some guy lost touch with the storage company and his stuff was "lost" when the building on site was demolished.

I can imagine a "storage wars" episode with his stuff...

I'm sorry maybe I'm missing something but wtf does the guy expect? They tried contacting him and couldn't get a hold of him. Well he should have given them current contact info. He needs to take responsibility for his fuck up.

Did you even read the article? He says they had his correct phone number and yet they never called.

Well there you go. I did miss something.

It seems so odd though. I've dealt with lots of storage places they've all been great. They aren't in there to screw someone over like this. Kinda hard to believe he didn't know this development was happening

Outside of this forum most people have no idea what developments are happening. My wife used to work at Shangri-La and it was common for people to have blank stares even when I said "you know, the tallest building downtown." People don't think like SSPers.

i don't find that's true at all. Personally, they might not be as picky as we are but I find most have a general idea of what's going on. And especially with this thing, it was heavily advertised and had that exhibit. The building was wrapped in bronze for almost a year. It's hard not to miss going over the bridge. Well whatever guess he should have looked at his credit card bill sooner than he did

Anyone get a photo of the development proposal that's directly across from the Vancouver House development? Apparently it's 24 stores of social housing and detox and there will be 20% of the rooms set aside for re-habilitating ex cons.
