I'm surprised nobody's thought of "Speer Pointe" or "Golden Speer" for a development. EnV and Joule just seem dull and nondescript - they could be anywhere.

By the way, does anybody know who the GC is on the Hotel Kimpton? I saw alot of GE Johnson trucks on site a few days ago and today they dropped a small trailer and are shooting elevations.

I always enjoy CPLIVE's photo updates. Combine it with a little Counting Crows and it makes for a nice mid-week break.

Oh Goodie. They're coming back for an encore.

Denver Cityscape has it.

3/16/15 - Mill Creek Residential Trust is planning the construction of a new 360 unit, 6 story apartment project at 28th Street and Brighton Boulevard. The Modera River North development will include structured parking and ground floor amenities. The project architect is The Mulhern Group of Denver. Construction is planned to start in late 2015, with completion in 2017
I've been a fan ever since they built The Douglas followed by The Casey. Add another project to the pipeline.

Yeah, its most likely that big open field right to the south of Industry building (which technically is part of Denargo Market).

Too bad there is no tower element like in the original concept massing!

GE Johnson is the contractor. That sounds promising. That is the missing piece for tying together all the new developments along 16th with Union Station.

My bad. Google Maps in Chrome/Firefox shows the "new" Google Earth view with shitty, old satellite imagery, while incompatible IE shows the "old" Google Satellite view with up-to-date imagery.

Thanks on the Klimpton hotel. I totally forgot it was even called that.

Nah. I assume that Mulhern was going for an "industrial" look. While it would be weird over at Union Station/LoDo, in RiNo it's not so bad. I kinda like that different neighborhoods have different personalities.

"Chihuly exhibit helps Denver Botanic Gardens draw highest visitor numbers in North America"
Mar 18, 2015 Caitlin Hendee, Denver Business Journal
Quote:
Denver Botanic Gardens in June 2014 launched its first major outdoor exhibition of artwork by Chihuly, a sculptor renowned for his bright, dramatic pieces of blown glass.
...1,411,116 visitors who made their way to the Denver attraction in 2014, setting the Botanic Gardens apart as the most-visited public garden in North America last year.

"The Gardens has become a world-class destination and we welcomed visitors from across the globe," Vogt said. "We are thrilled to have surpassed our historical attendance record and are honored to be the most attended North American garden."
Speaking of tourism, this exhibit was a big contributor.

If I were a betting man I bet we would find that the Burg-Simpson law firm hosts that site or has a big role in it.

EDIT: Actually, the host is based in Lowry, wonder if its connected to the lawyer who doing all the suing in Lowry area
