I'm not sure where in my post you read that I would like to spend an infinite amount or have zero accountability on said spending. You're attacking a straw man.
You have such anger toward my viewpoint but it was only expressed because a bunch of people needlessly interjected the opposite viewpoint into a forum focused on the development of skyscrapers.
It's honestly annoying that every month or so a group of posters here, frequently the same ones, need to randomly interject a few casual posts about what's wrong with the poor people in this city. I ignore most of it but when people are basically saying"the problem with the Philadelphia School system is the lazy, uncultured, impoverished people trying to get an education within it and their terrible parents" and others are posting about how we should subdivide the school district so our poorest children get an even worst education; it's hard to just look past that.
Some of you need to wake up, get out of the eco chamber, and start to reintegrate with society. I know we all like to look up at the skyscrapers, but please take a moment to look down toward street level and look at the city you're living in and the people you're living with.
This is a forum about Philadelphia, I fail to understand why some people think that posters want to be subjected to views that 90% of Philadelphians would disagree with and most would be disgusted by.
Whatever. I'm never going to convince you that inner city schools in this country are criminally underfunded and you're certainly not going to be able to convince me that the poor of Philadelphia should be set upon a giant block of ice that has formed on the Delaware River and pushed in the general direction of Camden... or whatever it is that you believe.
So considering that we're not getting anywhere, why don't we just leave politics out of this, as many people, myself included, have asked in the past and stick to the topic that we all enjoy and brought us together here in the first place.
