*shrug* sign of the times I guess. Buildings are going to look good though and will be nice to see them really start to take shape.
$550k on the 49th floor. The view is worth something.

I don't know anywhere in Greater Vancouver where you can still get a piece of land for that price. If you are suggesting Maple Ridge or Surrey then I wouldn't use that as a comparison.

This building stands out from far & is quite visible when headed westbound on the PMB. That's nearly 15km as the crow flies.

I dont think it stands out as much as you think. On account of it just being a hole in the ground at this point.

Lol fukked up wrong 'brentwood' towers. Either way with this height they will be easily visible from the PMB.

Thats how the breakdown works on the official price sheet from the presentation centre, thats where I got the numbers. Should be as accurate as possible.

Looks like some posts were deleted that had some pictures but the model in the presentation center is different from the nice fountain that was seen in the initial preview videos.. it looks like there will be a river-esque trail beside the steps up to the main plaza rather than a water feature at the top.

Edit: looking back at this video..

Video Link

The website seems to show the same thing (scroll down a bit): http://www.theamazingbrentwood.com/vision.html

I wish that the mods hadn't deleted that recent picture of the presentation center. I can't remember what was different now!

Edit again: maybe I imagined it all.. it is bedtime for me anyways.

There used to be a nice fountain on Hastings and Boundary but it was removed years ago.. it looked quite a bit like the City of Burnaby's logo.. if anyone has pictures of that, please share.

Do you mean the fountain shaped rather like a large metal dandelion, with sprays coming out of each "stalk" like water-flowers?

GeeSee, in that link you posted, their description says 'Water play and interactive fountains.' So there is still hope.

Also, they now say right on the first page that there is going to be a 'VIP Movie Theatre'. Up until now it seems to me all references to a movie theatre have been quite vague, but now it's right there on the initial description.

The dandelion is gone but the fountain remains. It's now three spouts that are barely used. And I think the whole thing leaks. I've seen garden hoses filling it up when the fountain is on.
