It's funny how that short round building is so prominent in the MTL skyline shots taken from the hill, but in any other angle it's not even noticeable. That's a good thing

I feel the same way about that stumpy Canadian Grain Commission building here in Winnipeg. It's always front & center in the standard Winnipeg skyline shot & I hate it.

Crane for ICE is up, and yes, Edmonton Clinic both north and south are present and appear completed in that picture. Fall 2013 I would think.

Yup, couldn't recognize the Clinic without the pedways going everywhere.

^East, West, and North of Downtown (save for the interruption of the mountain), the density goes on for miles, Brooklyn-style. South, for a bit (the Pointe, Little Burgundy, St. Henri, Chinatown, Vieux Montreal), then there is the river. Plus, there appears to be some tall buildings in the core too

The student ghetto just east of McGill, at 30,117.2 people per square kilometer:

Although Toronto has a neighborhood that beats that handily. In Toronto, not surprisingly in St. James Town, Canada’s densest census tract, at 60,915.4/km2:

The changes in the view over the past decade, from the area at the base of the CN Tower/Ripley's Aquarium is nothing sort of monumental. The amount of new construction staggers the mind. Great aquarium, if a little pricey and very crowded. But absolutely well worth it.

dark, gloomy view from city hall. A large dumping of snow was less than 30 minutes away when I took this picture.
