This is very exciting news - just to add to the chorus of thanks to A&K for sharing with us!
However, it definitely would mean the death of the Chicago as we knew it, which is too bad (although, who knows, as I haven't seen it, I could like this new design just as much if not more) - because I was quite the fan of that one (The Chicago took up the entire block from Michigan to Indiana. Question for A&K and Ardecila: Does this Vinoly designed tower also take up the entire block, or is it just on the Eastern or Western half? I'm kinda hoping its the entire block....one of the reasons I really liked Saitowitz' design is the true boldness of massive slab aspect, that was a distinct point of differentiation with the thinner (although not very thin by any means, especially with respect to OMPE) towers along Roosevelt to the East.
At any rate, this is indeed great news, and I hope that Crescent Heights plans to really push forward this year and launch this tower.
PS One more question: A&K, and/or Ardecila: Any idea what the residential program looks like here? Apartments, condos, both? Approximate number of units??
