I think you're exactly right about that. Because the Telus Garden condo will be so much more in the foreground in that pic it will loom large and later this year it will probably completely block the view of Trump from that vantage point. That's my guess.

(I'll repost the pic because we're on a new page now)

The view from Broadway and E 12th, Jan.19 '15, my pic

Wow, the above photo is taken with an impressive 600mm focal length. It shows.

The table top along the waterfront, with the MNP inplace now is becoming rather depressing.

Between the colours and heights, Coal Harbour has pretty well blurring into one greenish blob.

Great shot though.

Multiple shots spliced together always create a wonderfully wide picture. One or two more shots would capture the entire Lower Mainland's tall buildings, but this one's still awesome!

Looking at that picture do people even know what table top means anymore? There are 3 pretty well defined peaks in the shot above. I think it is now just a buzz word people throw around now to cry about.

Was on site today and went up to top. Here's a pic from I think 64th "numbered" floor. I believe they poured the 67th floor. So it's just mechanical roof stuff to go

To the north of Bentall V, The Exchange will fill the gap with a similar height building.

Can't be. According to our oft discussed tower height, it's only going to be 28 feet shorter than Shangri. When were those Jenn Chan photo's taken? Final height s/b about where top of crane is now, so about 3 or 4 floors to go I'm thinking.

According to the construction guy working on the project and having lunch at Wendy's today speaking to his colleague he mentioned it's about 4 floors to go.

Bental 4 is such a great office tower, it angers me seeing it crowned with such a lackluster company logo that does not even fit properly. Seriously, you could hire someone in High School to draft a better design. Who seriously did that??

Agreed, although the TD logo didn't seem to fit well, either; the previous Canada Trust logo was much better. The BMO logo on Bentall 3 is bad, too -- and even worse on First Canadian Place in Toronto; the classic "M" suited these buildings much better. There's less and less appreciation for good design these days, so what can we expect?

While I'm on the subject (yes, I'm off-topic, so I'll go flog myself after), there's a big new People's Trust logo on 888 Dunsmuir, and Le Soleil Hotel seems to have a bright new one on top of its building, too. They add a little more colour to the nightscape.

No this is incorrect

I was on 65 and I know there were two floors above me (I couldn't go higher as its restricted to authorize workers). So in other words "67" has been poured

(Remember dimswitch that the fins on the roof will add height)

What fins??? I know this is blurry but it's not even close to this drawing right now, it's about one story above the "hand" (see page 165 offi cedweller's illustration). Everyone says something different. Even the construction guys don't seem to know. Gadfrey, in some ways I think Donald Trump is pulling a fast one, why would he put his name to Vancouver's 2nd tallest building? He's sneaking in 5 or 6 more stories, hoping City Hall won't notice? or maybe some money has bought some silence?

I actually just received a letter from the developer today indicating they have poured the 67th floor!

I really appreciate that curve of the Dunsmuir - Melville connector in that central part of downtown.
It affords more interesting views of the buildings, and helps break the monotonous grid pattern. (and gives a great view of the TT !!)
