What was the word he used that they didn't understand and he had to choose another?
Also... I didn't know the French pronounced "women" that way. I thought he had said "son" - didn't get enough of the rest for context to tell me otherwise - until the Quebecois guy responded and it was about women.
Also, completely disagree with him that Montrealers are more calm than Parisiens. His interaction with the rest of the hosts is proof enough of the opposite, to me. He's like one of them on speed.
You can really hear the difference. It's sharper in Quebec, not as soft and romantic. I always interpret the Quebec accent as French being spoken to a child. No idea why. Something about the tone, how they speak... it mirrors some of the things we do when speaking to a small child, I think.

Ahah if you got one joke that's good enough because it's not your mother tongue
He had to choose another word? Excuse-me, but when ?
For women, the french guy said ''Filles''. That one is used to describe Young womens. I'm trying to figure out what they said aswell. Maybe ''Copine'' wich is ''girlfriend''
oh, don't take him as the perfect example of what are Montrealers. Louis-José is well know to be on speed and speak fast. You might be aswell surprised to know that he is from Quebec city
You are right on many things about the way we speak in Quebec.
First of all, France is the country where the language is coming from.
They know how to speak good and well. They also have more vocabulary than the Quebecois.
But today, we are coming alot closer in vocabulary than in the past. Wich provide us the possibility to speak kind of an ''international french'' that is understood by everyone.
In Quebec we speak from the Esophagus while in France it's up there in the Throat.
The Quebec language is also MAINLY coming from northern France.
Quebec is actually a VERY popular destination for French peoples. A good 150 000 of them are living here. 100 000 of them only in Montréal and it's growing quickly by almost 4000-5000 a year.
Around my flat there is French peoples everywhere and I hear that accent anytime.
Just speaking of France makes me want to come back there as soon as possible !!

Paris is sooo romantic !
