This photo popped up on the /r/vancouver subreddit on reddit.com. It really shows how much taller Stratus is.

Yup, none of that was there when I worked in the 2 low-rise drab concrete towers nearer Gilmore in 2002-03.

I believe they were forming for the 45 floor yesterday. so only the roof after that. Altus will be about 10 floors taller when that is complete.

I don't think it has been mentioned before but there's high quality tan coloured stone (marble/limestone?) covering significant parts of the podium now. Nice to see them not cheapen out on the finishings.

Kind of cool to think that someday, you might not be able to see any of Burnaby Mountain from that angle.

We must stop all work at Brentwood for further review!
How will this affect the lives of transit users if they can no longer see Burnaby Mountain from the platforms!?

The Whole Foods sign looks a bit undersized for the wall it is on.

I think that could be a result of Burnaby's ridiculous sign restrictions. they haven't changed their signage bylaw in decades, and they give little wiggle room for anything new or different

Whats more annoying, pet peeve more than anything, is that the two Whole Foods signs don't line up.

That is, the one facing Lougheed and one facing Willingdon despite being the same size, and having the room, are mounted at two different heights.

Drove past this morning. Looks like they are moving the sign.

I took this photo in late August 2014 when I visited Burnaby EA head office..... Might be a bit dated, but nevertheless, better late than never..
