Cool Ottawa skyline after freezing rain.

Quite a nice south view today. It's been a while since we had sun after an ice storm with the ice still on the trees.

Is One Yonge a go? If so, when is construction expected to start? It should have a major impact on the skyline from this angle. I don't know where Mirvish and Cityplace Signature are located, but One Yonge is right on the waterfront and it is very tall, and I would even dare to say it might add a Chicago/Lower Mannathan/Hong Kong touch the Toronto skyline.

One Yonge is still only a proposal. I wouldn't count on any movement for at least 5 years or more.

Hopefully, only as long as city approvals.

Is it funny that the CN tower seems to make the rest of the skyline look so small as to seem irrelevant? While that above posted photo comparison from 2001 to now is obviously impressive, until I actually blocked the tower from view it was hard to register the full impact.

The change would be a lot more impressive if both pictures were taken from the same spot

Wow.

Nice and recent, given the progress on MNP Tower and Manulife's building that looks like a week or so ago.

Yup, I noticed that too.
When Trump is finished, it is going to be very easy to date a Vancouver shot post 2015.

It'll probably spill over onto Broadway just south of it.

Which is already has...

Also the streets fronting the north shore of downtown were actually added to the waterfront.

It has a little but Broadway definitely doesn't feel like an extension of downtown yet. With enough time, especially after the subway is built, I think Broadway will become very similar to the peninsula with a big canyon going all the way down.

There is plenty of land left. Look at all that land just north north-west of the core. Just cut the trees down and build away.

Just kidding.
